A couple of days ago I finished the design for an extra special SUM (06) event, which I am extremely excited about. Due to the kind nature of the management team at Motion (Nightclub) in Bristol, we are hosting a 'Roller Disco' to support the work of Interdisciplinary Textile Design Students at UWE Bristol, of which Kim Oakley (SUM Co-partner) is a Student in her Third and Final Year of study on the course. Motion is a considerably larger venue than we have hosted events in before, which lead us to make the decision to promote the event under the SUM name, of which we have slowly (throughout the year) created a fan base and network in Bristol. A visit to the Children's Scrapstore yesterday proved to be a very fruitful endeavour, of which we hope will help to lift the event/evening for all that choose to put on their skates and get down and dance.
